Massage Therapy in Columbus, Indiana
Tired of being STRESSED?
A major component of natural health lies within a healthy mind.
Massage therapy has been around for thousands of years, beginning in China. It started as hands on manipulation of muscles to promote health and relaxation.
Over many years, miles and miles of traveling, and with increased scientific research, massage has made many minor changes since the early days in China, but the basis remains true.
In terms of a typical deep tissue massage, the therapist uses friction to move muscles layers over the top of each other, releasing muscle adhesions and chemical build up in the tissue, caused by physical and mental stress.
Why Should You Get a Massage at New-Start?
The human body, in all of its amazement, will do anything it can to keep the body in efficient working condition. For instance, if we sit at a desk for eight hours a day, our body will adjust our spine to keep our head level, and the same goes for standing on our feet for the same eight hours a day. For better or worse, our body does an impressive job at this. The drawback is that when we return to a relaxed, neutral state our body has to fight these adjustments. That's where the pain comes into play.
Massage helps the body relax, regroup and make itself more efficient. It is simply a tool used to unlock the body's own capability and power to heal itself.
With a natural and holistic approach, New-Start Health Center utilizes many therapies to restore each patient's health. If you are tired of relying on muscle relaxers or pain medications to ease your muscle pain, try Massage Therapy in Columbus, and let New-Start Health Center show you a natural path to PAIN-FREE living.
